duck update: migration island

So we haven't seen a lot of our waddling friends in a couple of months. A few weeks ago we saw that a bunch of them had been staying in the big lake in the middle of the apartment complex and that the word had spread. When we took a walk over there last week we discovered something like a Temptation Island resort for watery fowl, like a singles club for a few dozen ducks. Here are a couple of pictures from about a week ago. I am completely enamored with the little growths around the beak of some of the ducks, as they're all different and some have hair and things growing out of them. Anyway, as you can see they are not at all unfriendly with humans and a bunch of them even grunted and complained when Andy didn't throw bread in their direction for a few minutes. My favorite duck was this new dark horse that looks like Darth Maul.
