knitting update: woodland shawl

okay, try to ignore how ugly the yarn is. i know you can't really see how ugly it actually is because the light is all sunrise-y and pretty, but it's been sitting in my wall of yarn stuff since i first started getting into knitting, like, over a year ago and i've tried to knit it half a dozen times and always ended up ripping it apart.

now i'm waiting (very impatiently) for my yarn buys from ravelry users to arrive in the mail and they are taking their sweet ass time. so i'm furiously trying to knit this up so i can dye and block it and get it all done so that i'm ready to accept the new yarns into my life.

i'm making a lace scarf, and the photo above is me trying to stretch the scarf out to kind of give you an idea of what it'll look like after it's blocked and stretched out.

i'm thinking of throwing it in some grape or black cherry kool-aid. i can't decide. annnnyways, i'm going to do this pattern again, only make it an actual scarf and not a half-scarf, which is what you get for not using two skeins of a color.
