scarf!

i'm sure i'll be taking more photos of this for ravelry, but for now this is all i've got. i made it smaller width-wise and length-wise than the pattern because i have a short attention span. it's fastened with a smaller, white pearl button in the top left, to sort of secure everything in place and make it not look so amateurish.

the top photo is it being blocked, which is essentially where you wet and sometimes wash/sometimes heat or iron through to set the stitches, making them more uniform and cohesive. with lacework, it works to set the stitches that are a little willy-nilly and the process also helps make the holes more pronounced.

i'm so happy with the result... it's a perfect little short scarf and the color is almost sparkly, but a light lavender. just gourgeous!
