Sunday: Cefaratti House, Lavender Festival

what a sublime sunday. we left for the cefaratti house early enough to be able to hit the lavender festival. and by "Festival" we mean "lavender-in-the-backyard-of-mike's-neighbor's-house".
it was a small little production but really quaint, and so earnest.

We ate lavender ice cream, ate lavender cookies, brownies, lemonade, etc. it was a lavendersplosion. we even tasted some wine (un-lavendered) and listened to some soothing hippie music.

(Lavender ice cream)

(innocent face? not fooling anyone)

we busted out of there, full of lavender in our bellies. we drive the 45 seconds it took to get back to mike's, then went tubing down the creek where andy suffered a major, devastating flipflop loss, in the exact same place he lost another one the last time he went tubing. oh, body of water, you are a cruel mistress.

we also had about 200 pizzas made, assembly-line styles, in the pizza oven. wow were they good. and mike even remembered to buy some pineapples!!! i was very, very happy.

Dee spent the night out there and we saw the two of them back home the next morning.
