hesperia stole

i love this stole. the color is a gorgeous dark periwinkle, and it's superlight, airy even. i bought the yarn in edmonton at river city yarns when i was there for the summer and cast on a week or so before i left (first week of august or thereabouts) and when i had to return at the end of that month for my mother's last day and ensuing final arrangements and funeral, i knitted it everywhere: on the plane, outside her room as she slept, and in quiet times throughout my stay and after when i returned home. i think i would really lose my shit if if i ever lost it... is there a way to laminate a lace project so nothing can ever happen to it? jeez. anyway, it's very wide and quite large and enormously pretty, but i'm biased. ravelry pattern can be found here, and below are some pictures, the bottom soaking picture being the one that reflects true color the best:

(i have no idea what's going on with my hand there)
