christmas presents, pt 1

not wanting to leave my mother out of our christmas this year, i made a few group presents for my brother and his girlfriend, my dad, and andy and i. i had intended to make new christmas stockings but in the interest of keeping my sanity (i started baking/cooking and freezing back in october when my dad first came to the decision to come down), i gave up on the idea at the beginning of december and we kept our old stockings, which looked really cute hanging, for the first time, above a fireplace. can i just mention how much i LOVE stocking stuffer buying?? holy cow. my dream job is definitely a professional stocking stuffer. i love all of the cute little trinkets and stuff i could find for stuffing.

the second gift (why yes, i'm still considering completely unfinished stockings to be a first gift) was to give something to mark the holiday in ways all families recognize: yearly ornaments. i had a christmas stamp and got some double-sided wide satin ribbon, and there you have it. the ornaments themselves are from crate & barrel. their colors were so gorgeous! i'm staring at an intense blue one on the tree now (the ones above were for my dad and brother).
