pictures without me demanding you make something

i've been going through cooking photos that i've taken but never post about. usually i take a picture of some prepped food or of something midway through cooking, but then the light fades and i can't/don't take a picture of the finished product. i reluctantly let the photos sit in iPhoto, gathering dust, never letting them see the light of day. Some photos i intentionally leave without posting something about them because i have convinced myself that i'll recreate the dish, improve upon it, and then write something about it. Well, that doesn't necessarily happen, and besides, if i really wanted to make a dish i'd like to think that i don't need a guilt photo to make that happen.


all that to say, i'm going to start posting random pictures occasionally. let's start today with two (you're welcome):
